4-ый альбом испанского Black Metal культа Numen выходит… спустя 12 лет!!!

Numen has been glorifying the pagan spirit of Basque Country since 1997. The band was formed in the town of Arrasate (the official Spanish name - Mondragon), and from the beginning of 2000 has started the Era of full-scale conquest native Spain and Europe under the auspices of a unique phenomenon in the world of music – Basque Black Metal. The first full-length album, released in 2001 and having a title "Galdutako itxaropenaren eresia" had abundant folk and keyboard-instrumental parts along with fast and ruthless Black Metal.The latter used as a basic musical side of Numen, and also as cornerstone for the formation of subsequent albums of Basques.

In 2004 was released the second Numen`s album - "Basoaren semeak", which turned literally the pinnacle of their music perfection. The album focused more on Black Metal side, pushing the folk part far into background, combining it with the atmosphere of Basque traditions. Their black art they literally shackled and honed, and got that great weapon, combining pure and high-speed guitar riffs, quiet and well-coordinated drums and unceasing, belligerent scream vocals. Musical reference points were difficult to determine – something could remind the Swedish scene of the 90`s, and something could remind famous Frenchs of 00, with whom the Basques simultaneously began their ascent. The fact is that creativity of the band was imbued uniqueness. That is allowed the formation to be recognizable among hundreds of clones those same Marduk and Dark Funeral, copiously storming fragile perception of young BM fans.

In 2007 was released the third full-length album, called simply – "Numen". The Self-titled work continued the creative course taken by the band on "Basoaren semeak", giving the music that was like "an iron spiked ball, crushing everything around", harsh notes and adding more gloomy tone to the music. "Numen didn`t make a serious discovery in the BM field, and didn`t increase the glory of the Basque formation. But nevertheless, the album had its original features and has been well recognized, therefore, was considered the fans and the band more of a success than a failure.

Almost all Numen releases were released by GOI music, where Basques were the only Black Metal band of such level from label roster (if not the only Black Metal band there). But, after the termination of the activities of this organization, the band signed an agreement with the French LADLO (Les Acteurs de l'ombre) Productions, first results of which was the reissue of "Numen" in 2011. Now this label has been producing "Iluntasuna besarkatu nuen betiko". At the beginning of the 10's, band members decided to devote time to their other bands and side projects. The band`s line-up was strongly changing over these years. Live performances from time to time took place, but the work on the new material if it was, it was extremely slow. Starting from 2016, the band was slowly recording a new album, the release date of which is already scheduled for September this year.

And now about the details of the new album. "Iluntasuna besarkatu nuen betiko" will consist of eight tracks. The album will be released on CD, 12` vinyl and digital formats. For Numen such a variety of formats will be the first time! The album was recorded piecemeal in different studios: drums in Legarre Studios (2016), guitar and keys in an unknown location (2017), recording bass and vocals (main and bukovy) was conducted in Aurym Studios (2017), and the recording of the last track Itzaltzuko bardoar took place in the already mentioned Legarre Studios (2017). This track, by the way, will not be related to metal and will consist of the acoustic guitar, folk instruments of the Basque country and containing a profound narrative in the lyrical basis of the track.
